Associate Professors Sheine Peart and Clare Lawrence were delighted to attend Community Resilience, an exhibition by Lincoln-based Zimbabwean artist Tinashe Chipawe at Lincoln Arts Centre last week.

Clare commented, 'I love Tinashe's vibrant art and use of colour. His vision of a more inclusive and optimistic society really chimes with our community ethos at BGU. Being neurodivergent, Tinashe brings an intersectionality to his work which mirrors research that Sheine and I have been doing over the last couple of years.’

Sheine is in discussion regarding the possibility of Tinashe joining BGU as an Artist in Residence during Black History Month in October 2025. ‘Tinashe uses his art as a medium for positive change. His work fully supports our Black History Month values, and he would be a tremendous asset to our celebrations’.
