We are delighted to invite 2025 Graduating students to attend Graduation on Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st July 2025. Graduating in the magnificent surroundings of Lincoln Cathedral is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we know you’ll want to be a part of it.

We’ll make sure you get to celebrate in style with hundreds of other BGU students, members of staff and, of course, your family and friends. Ceremonies will take place on both days at 10:15am and 2:30pm, along with celebrations on campus throughout the day. Please visit our Graduation 2025 page for further details of what to expect on your Graduation day.

The ceremony you will attend depends on which course you have studied. Further information on this is typically released in February.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you have an excellent Graduation day!

Please click here to log into the Ede & Ravenscroft Portal to order your ceremony tickets, academic dress and any photography you require.

PLEASE NOTE: You can order your academic dress when purchasing your tickets. Tickets go on sale at 9:00am on 2nd April 2025. You will receive an email to your personal (non-BGU) email account at this time on the day tickets go on sale.

The booking link will be live from 2nd April 2025 until midnight on Monday 19th May 2025. You must book your tickets by this deadline, even if you think you may not pass the course, as late registrations cannot be accepted.

Ceremony and Tickets for the Graduating Students of 2025

Guest tickets for the ceremonies in the Cathedral are £20 each. Tickets include a free glass of Fizz or alternative soft option for you and your ticket paying guests. This will be available on campus at BGU from 11am until 6pm. All students will receive their own ticket free of charge and payment will only need to be made for guests.

Due to the limited capacity in Lincoln Cathedral, the number of guest tickets per student changes each year. The number of guest tickets per student for the 2025 Graduation Ceremonies will be confirmed in the ticketing email. Registration to attend and book tickets commences on 2nd April 2025 and closes on 19th May 2025.

The design of the Cathedral may mean that you are not able to see all proceedings at all times from where you are sitting. To mitigate against this impact, large visual screens are placed in the Cathedral to allow guests a clear view, even from the back of the Nave. It is considered that the ceremony is not suitable for young children. If you are bringing children to the ceremony, we politely ask that you try to keep them quiet and seated throughout the ceremony, in respect of this special day.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Health and Safety regulations, children aged 12 months and older shall require their own ticket and will not be able to sit on laps. The Graduation ceremonies typically last around one hour each.

In addition to the ceremonies in the Cathedral, there will be a link on our Social Media platforms and on the BGU Graduation Webpage to the ceremony live streams, to allow people who are unable to attend in person to watch the ceremonies live.

Additional Guest Tickets

The availability of additional guest tickets cannot be guaranteed or confirmed until all student registrations have been processed once ticket sales close on 19th May 2025. You will receive an email to your personal (non-BGU) email account on 21st May 2025 with details of the availability of additional guest tickets, including a link to register for these. Subject to availability, the system will issues additional guest tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. You will not be able to purchase additional guest tickets unless you have registered your attendance by the registration deadline.

PLEASE NOTE: Your guest tickets will be emailed to you the week before your ceremony and your Fizz tickets will be available to collect from the Robert Hardy Building on the day of your ceremony when you check-in. There is no requirement for students or guests to print anything off, though it is recommended that you keep copies of any confirmation emails should they be required.
