Four of our students are taking part in one of the show’s regular features – ‘Hide and Seek’, played live by listeners every morning at 7:30 am.
On a normal day, this feature involves primary school aged children being invited on air, alongside their teacher, to help describe a famous place in the world. However, as children across Lincolnshire take a break for October half term this week, our trainee teacher students have stepped in to take their place.
Tracey Kilcoyne, Programme Leader for Primary Education at BGU, shares her excitement: “Here at BGU we were thrilled to be contacted by the Hits Radio Lincolnshire team to feature on their poplar ‘Hide and Seek’ guessing game.
“It is not only a great opportunity for a collaboration between a local radio station and our institution, but also a chance for some of our students to gain further exposure to situations that involve primary educated students.”
Billie Gardiner-Musgrove, a second year student at BGU, gave the first clue on Monday morning: “It’s time for the grown ups on hide and seek! We are here at BGU where I am training to be a primary school teacher.
“The first clue is, ‘Who needs the bus when you can fly to work? This city has more than 200 helipads on its tall buildings, with over 500 registered helicopters, used by executives to dodge traffic around the bustling financial district’.”
Listen in around 7:30 am every day this week to hear our students Abigail, Chloe, Kaitlyn and Billie give clues to the mystery location!
