Earlier this year we were delighted to announce that, despite the unprecedented Covid situation, this year's National Student Survey (NSS) and Bishop Grosseteste University Student Satisfaction Survey (BGUSSS) results show that overall student satisfaction rates at BGU increased from 81.54% in 2019 to 85.30 in 2020. The fantastic result is higher than the average results for HEIs in the East Midlands, England and the sector as a whole.
All participants who complete either the NSS or BGUSSS surveys are entered into an annual online prize draw to win an iPad and we are pleased to announce this year's winners were, Amy Williams (NSS) and Christopher Johnstone (BGUSSS).
Speaking after receiving their prizes both spoke positively about the importance of the surveys with Christopher Johnstone, BA (Hons) Primary Education student, commenting:
"Bishop Grosseteste University actively seeks and values feedback from its learning community; the BGUSSS provides the perfect opportunity for students to get their voices heard"
Whilst Amy Williams, BA (Hons) Education Studies student, stated:
"It's important to take the opportunity to have your voice heard that can lead to real positive changes!"
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the students who took the time to give their views in either/both surveys. Your input is key to shaping improvements within the BGU learning community and it was great to see that, although the pandemic meant we couldn’t complete all of our survey activities, Survey Week period completion rates were higher than previous years.
Information on both surveys and how to participate in 2021 will be displayed in the near future at bishopg.ac.uk/student/bgu-say
