Before you arrive checklist
- Make sure you satisfy any outstanding conditions regarding your offer, as outlined in your offer via UCAS, DfE, or offer letter sent from the University’s Admissions team
- Arrange all your fees and funding, including payment of your tuition fees (which might include liaison with the Student Loans Company), sorting out your maintenance loan (where applicable) and checking-out a range of financial support options
- Complete your Access Needs Declaration Form to advise our Student Advice & Wellbeing team of any learning support requirements you might need arranging in advance of your arrival (please complete the form even if you don’t think you require any additional support)
- Register with a local doctor and check out our range of support services from our award-winning Student Advice & Wellbeing team
- If you’re investing in a new laptop/device, make sure it meets our suggested minimum IT requirements and learn what applications you have free access to already
- If you’re going to be living either on-campus, the Student Village or Longdales Lodge, make sure you satisfy any outstanding conditions regarding your online accommodation room offer before you pick up your keys – have you accepted your room offer and paid relevant deposit.

Upon Arrival checklist
During your first few days on-campus and before your lectures begin, get involved with our Welcome activities:
- Meet your lecturers and fellow classmates and learn all about your first modules by attending your academic induction(s)
- Download our Welcome Events Planner and choose which social activities you’d like to attend
- Check out your provisional timetable and make sure you know when your first lectures are
- Take a walk around campus, and using the campus map, find where your first lectures will be held
