Enrolment 2024– Academic Induction Sessions

The following sessions state the first initial meetings only with subject leads (information about any subsequent induction events, if appropriate, will be divulged to students by subject leads in due course).

  • Masters-level programmes usually deliver academic induction sessions within the first taught sessions of the timetable, unless otherwise notified differently below or directly by Programme Leaders.
  • The National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination usually delivers academic induction sessions around the enrolment session scheduled for early October.

Morning induction sessions (AM) will usually be delivered between 09.30-11.00, but there may be some sessions which run outside of this. Afternoon induction sessions (PM) will usually be delivered between 13:00-14.30, but again there may be some sessions which run outside of this. Most induction sessions will last for approx. 90 minutes, unless notified differently below.

From early September, students will be notified of the specific time and place for their induction and their enrolment by the University’s Admissions team (or in the case of apprentices, by the Apprenticeship programme team). Students should refer to this email for their individual arrangements. Joint honours students will be able to attend inductions for both half subjects.
